Cover FX Custom Cover Drops // Foundation Review

September 22, 2016

What's up my Makeup First-Aiders?!  Hope you are all doing well in this new year that is 2016!!  I've had a lot of ups and downs in my personal life this year and am hoping that I can make 2016 more stable and happy.  My new years resolution is to ensure I use my fancy new camera and lights to upload regular YouTube schedule and really get that side of things taking off, but for now you can sit back and relax, and keep reading about your favourite foundations and other makeup goodies!

Today I'm going to be reviewing the COVER FX CUSTOM COVER DROPS.  These pure pigment drops claim to be able to be applied to ANY liquid to add coverage.  They claim to be friendly to water, oil or silicone based products so you can add it to your makeup bag with ease.  It advertises to use Flash Fusion Technology™ to transform any liquid into sheer to high coverage depending on how many drops you add.

I've been using the custom cover drops for approximately one month and I've used it both on its own and added to several of my darker foundations that I need to lighten.  (I have colour N10) which is the lightest neutral shade available.

The shade range is pretty amazing, they have PINK, NEUTRAL and GOLDEN undertones and have brilliant options for all skin tones. The Pink undertones have 4 choices, Neutral have 14 and Golden have 7 options.  All up that's 25 shades to choose from.  I initially bought mine with the intention of lightening several of my own foundations but I have since used this on its own and its safe to say I LOVE IT.  Smooth texture that doesn't cling to any dry patches, the coverage is simply amazing and I just LOVE the idea of it.  I especially like mixing it with primer or oils like The Blissful Body's "Miracle Oil", it gives it an amazing moisture rich feeling and makes your skin feel soft, smooth and hydrated all the while having amazing coverage.

*TIP* Make sure you shake the bottle before each use because the consistency can sometimes change if left to settle.[

The price point is about average for a smaller high end  foundation at $44 AUD but I feel like you'd use less of this product than a normal foundation due to the application and how pigmented it is, you really don't need much, so I personally think it's amazing value for money.

I rate this foundation 9/10 on The Makeup Ambulance Scale.

Hope you enjoyed this review, happiest of makeup shopping to you!
